Took this longtime back. Thought of posting it. Pondicherry is a great place to settle down, no wonder why i say it, its my hometown :)
First is the Gandhi statue in the beach, Second is statue of french governor Dupleix who supported and he was killed by his own people for that, third one is a war memorial for the french soldiers.

Pondicherry - I used to like it a lot during the early 80's..After that like other cities and towns, IMHO, the beauty has be tarnished in the name of development.!!
Mother's Ashram / Auroville is a differnet story all together.!
aah, i miss pondy dude.. good ol' days when me n avi n guys used to go n sit on the rocks, eating peanuts (groundnuts whatever), talking about some future that never came to light etc etc.. fun times :).
Lazy drive on the new ECR road to destination Pondy. Great place, still the same. Nice photos
