"Everyman dies, But not everyman truly lives"

Watched Braveheart on Saturday. I got this quote from that movie and started thinking how true it is. I live everyday, am i doing something different from others?? or am i living the life to the fullest?? these questions haunt me from the moment i saw that movie. I visited lot of sites and found some good quotes said by famous personalities, i like the one which was said by Arnold.

"The worst thing I can be is the same as everybody else. I hate that"
- Arnold Schwarzenegger

Something tells me that i should be different from others and i will, but in what ways?? i really don't know :(( thats the saddest part. Well i browsed more and found a topic which has the same title as i have for this blog. In general its a good read,

The title was taken from a line spoken by the character of Sir Wallace just before his death in the movie, “Braveheart.” I recently rented that movie and when I heard these words it touched the core of my being realizing how incredibly true that statement is.

Every one of us on this planet will die, but not every one of us will have lived as full of a life as we might have been capable of living. Too many people in the later years of their life talk about all the things they wished they had done that are too late to do now. Given the opportunity to do things over again they would have taken more risks, been less afraid of failing, traveled more, lived more from a place of their own truth instead of someone else’s, played harder, worked less.

What about you? If tomorrow were your last day on this planet, could you honestly say you’ve lived your life to the fullest? Are there things within your reach that you could do that you keep putting off? Are you avoiding going after your dream simply because you’re afraid of not having it come true? Are you laughing enough? Or do you find yourself taking yourself and life too seriously? Are you sleepwalking through your days missing out on the everyday beauty that surrounds you? Do you always need to be right? Are you standing in your truth without worrying about what others think?

You always have a choice to approach each and every day with new enthusiasm, trying something new, changing up your routine. The fact that you’ve woken up and you’re feet hit the floor is reason to celebrate. YOU’RE ALIVE! Why not start your day excited about that and see what you can do that allows you to feel like you’ve lived a fuller life when that day comes to an end. The more enthusiasm you extend from yourself the more opportunities will present themselves for you to grab onto.

You came into this world with nothing and you will leave this world with nothing. Make the time you have in between the two everything and leave with no regrets.

Its one life, live it to the fullest. I am not trying to be philosophical anywhere, but its just a good read :) Well i feel a difference from my earlier blogs... hahaha.

Comments welcome.

Fans and the Sponsors

Today i happened to see the so called master blaster "Sachin"

I saw the clear difference between who give you money in bulk(the sponsors) and the people who give you money in little, but give you lot of name(the fans) i happened to go to the commercial street today and it was very much crowded as usual... but today people were standing in large groups, which clearly indicated that some celebrity is coming there, when enquired people said.. its going to be sachin :)
vow for a minute... even i wanted to see him... as this is a chance to see him so closely apart from seeing in TV and in matches(in the ground)

People were waiting for a long time i think, i just passed by and got the idea that he is going to visit some showroom... yes it was Adidas shop.. where he was scheduled to visit... he came till that shop in the car and he just went in... it was not even for 30 seconds he waved hands for the small sponsors(AKA fans), but he did spend time inside the shop.... whatever the security reasons... i think he should have just come out or waved hands on the so many fans waiting outside from some location... where everyone can see him.... fortunately there was on such place from the first floor of that shop.... i was not a big fan of anyone.. but it was my wife who wanted to see him... so me too waited with her.. and showed her sachin for 10 seconds.. i think... then i saw him standing in that shop's cash counter... he just waved hands once from there... i am not against him or any celebrity... but they should be finding some way to satisfy the fans... really...

anyway... i got a chance to blog on this topic... hope u might have the same thought. pls share....

World Speaks one language - Music?

This is my first time experience ever of attending a rock shop, this time our company sponsored a ticket of 2.5K to enjoy "Mark Knopfler" show. Till yesterday, I did not know this guy. Its great to watch such a show live with the whole bunch of crowd screaming, dancing and enjoying the music(some people enjoyed something else, forget them ;-D)

We went their around 5:30 in the evening.... And we had to wait for a long time for the show to get started, one guy with bald head was tuning the guitars for Mark, I thought he is mark and whistled... basically mark has a bald head and so most of his members.... ;)I am the only guy in my gang who can whistle well... hahaha.. thanks to my college days... thats where i learned that skill :)

Around 7:30 the show started, a man in light blue jean and a white cotton shirt turned up on the stage.... and this time its Mark :) though the crowd started shouting... and dancing, i should say Mark made most of them to stand quite and listen his music and watch his hands playing with the guitar... vow what a piece of work.... though i don't know lyrics from his songs... i just enjoyed the music and was thinking that i got a topic to blog again :) whatever the language of the people in the crowd, but i should say its common to all for the language of Music :) everyone most of the time... enjoyed the guitar played by him.... he exchanged lot of guitars to save time i think... basically he got lot of guitars tuned ready for next song.... the whole team was enjoying the music... the drummer... the other guitarist... everyone... i thought for a second... this is another way of relaxing urself... just enjoy the music u play.... which i am missing certainly... i don't know to play any instrument.... :( should find time to learn any instrument.. which is of my interest...

I thought of a friend in hcl, Manikam. Who would have really enjoyed this show, come to bangalore da ;)

Overall its a great experience... thanks for topspin to sponsor such an event :))) we might go out today as well, but for bowling this time ;-D i am sure.. i can score the maximum around my team of topspin guys... and show of myself... hahaha..

Maniks if you know Mark, i enjoyed these songs "Money for Nothing, and your chicks for free" and "You are so far away from me" listen to them and post a comment buddy.

Road Tax "on the road"

Today we(myself and my wife, Murali and Srini) were stopped by the RTO guys in Bannerghata road as we were travelling by Murali's Zen. They verified the docs and asked for the Road Tax(karnataka road tax), when we pay road tax in chennai... do we really need to pay road tax wherever we take our car... only god can answer these doubts... ok those things apart... we have accepted that murali haven't paid the road tax yet. Our RTO guy did refer some docs and said that we need to pay around 13K as the life time road tax and he wanted us to pay there itself, "on the road". When we said we don't have that much money.. and so we can pay later... they asked us to pay 10K or 5K then to pay the rest later within the week, the joke is they even asked us to leave some mobile set to them and pay the road tax and take the car :) then finally murali got frustrated and called his mama to get legal advice :). he asked him to pay the road tax and take the receipt, so he decided to pay the sum(13K on the road itself) and take the receipt... the drama ended after receiving the receipt from the RTO fellows after paying the whole sum.

I am not sure these things can happen only in India!!

The funda is murali and myself too wanted to go to a RTO to pay these road tax stuff... but murali thought this as a added feature of paying road tax "on the road" at a single go... but the story didn't end there... he has to go to RTO office and collect another receipt... hahaha...

but overall its a good experience... we had here in bangalore.
