Is there something called fate?

I really do not know where to start, when I ask this question to myself... and once I start discussing... I don't know where to stop :-D

Is it fate of someone who is involved in a accident to be there at that particular moment.. and to die or get injured as a group? if yes, then is it the fate again to gather all people at one location and make the tremors to hit them? or is it the fate that make a guy to be in a workplace where he gets promoted to a higher position?

I see no concrete answers from anyone or any forum for these sort of questions... and so is the question is there god?? :) one of my friend used to tell me... nature is god..I accept with this to some extent... I won't say it as god.. but a super power.. which can erase all the human inventions... sun, water, land, fire.... it can't be controlled unless you follow a rule... don't cross your borders... cheat/spoil nature... and make it go against you...

I don't believe in idol worship or worshipping god only on the special days or only when you need some support... darn god.. won't come and solve things by himself if you are not willing to take steps to solve your own problems....

help yourself first... if yourself can't help it.. then hardly anybody can...

when the life gets complete?

When does the life gets complete?

I often used to get this question... I get answers as questions in turn... ;)

1) Is that when you get good marks in your 10th std or 12th std?
2) Is that when you get placed in campus interview?
3) Is that when you get handful of money and you find ways to spend it?
4) Is that when you find a girlfriend, lover or soulmate?
5) Is that when you raise a family all by yourself?
6) Is that when you retire and enjoy the rest after working for all these years?
7) Is that when you die?

Huh.. only these many questions? :-D

Then.... I decided to answer these questions and find a meaning to myself.

A1) Nope. I used to feel.. if we study well in 10th or 12th and get a seat in good college... then life will get settled all by itself.... but I realized later... life is a continuous learning process.. so is the professional life too.
A2) Nope. I thought life will be easier if we get placed thru' campus interview... but then most of the people who got placed thru' campus interview have grown up the ladder in the same company.. but did they really exploit their talents... I guess no. I always felt I got things the hard way... just like my first job :) but that has moulded me well... to face even a crisis.
A3) Nope. Indeed it was a pleasure to spend the way you like and enjoy life.. but we came to reality I had to take a personal loan to meet a big expense :-D so saving whatever you can when you have something surplus will save your a** was the lesson learnt.
A4) Yes and No. Having girlfriend is a fashion.. is it? hmm... I did not fall into that.. but I found a girl who will be suitable for me... and she turned to be my soulmate(not just wife).. life was complete then... you can say life is kind of complete only when you find a soulmate...
A5) Nope. When you raise a family all by yourself... you get to know the pain your parents have gone through to make you complete... and you do the same thing for your kids... so this goes on in a cycle.. and most people get lost in time :(
A6) Nope. After working for all the years.. do you think you can sit and enjoy? hmm... from what I have seen, people who have really worked(NO.. its not same as going to office everyday and having no ethics for yourself to do your duty) can't sit idle.. so want to contribute something for the society... but having worked for all these years... they get tired easily by seeing the current state of affairs...
A7) Nope. When you die... your name fades away with time... your memories too.. unless you have made difference while you live(NO, its no same as just counting days, weeks and years.... it is to learn, to teach, to follow and to do your contribution to the society).

After answering the questions.. only one thing striked me.. that is

"Time is NOW"

If you get a chance to make a change then don't hesitate to grab the oppurtunity... but don't keep waiting for the oppurtunities.. sometimes you need to create a chance by yourself... and let people realize their potential... and make this practice a chain reaction.

Having said all these... will my life be complete then?

It WON'T :) I don't want it to be complete... but I will live forever in memories and the chain goes on and on... and make life a cycle.

movie to watch

Watched "the dark knight" yesterday, its a good movie with good action. I should say "Heath Ledger" really did a great job as a joker.. it was truely a oscar performance, not like slumdog.... though I am happy that A.R.Rehman won the award for original score in slumdog millionare(SM).. I couldn't accept if that movie so many awards in this year...but its more like the situation which decides the awards.. and I think the oscar jury felt that SM is kind of motivational movie in this recession. Felt pity for Heath Ledger, I do not know why he would commit suicide after struggling for some time and producing this kind of action in this movie. Good thing about this sequel movies is the dialogues are good. Some of them I liked are below,

"You see, madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push!"

" If you're good at something, never do it for free."

Alfred: Know your limits, Master Wayne.
Bruce Wayne:Batman has no limits.
Alfred:Well, you do, sir.
Bruce:Well, can't afford to know 'em.

"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

"The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming."

"You thought we could be decent men in an indecent time. But you were wrong. The world is cruel, and the only morality in a cruel world is chance."

I think this is enough... for the same reason I like the matrix :). Watch it yourself to get more good dialogues and scenes. I am waiting for Harry Potter next movie... I started liking harry poter story after my wife read all the books and said the story like she would say it to a kid :)

Google for Heath Ledger, if you want to know more about him.

common sense!

Some friend sent me a mail.. it was an obituary message for "common sense". I really don't understand why someone could name a sense "common" when its so uncommon and also when its not among the normal senses of a human being... or does it?

When someone gives horn, we try to give way.. but when we are blocked by a traffic jam.. whats the point in giving horn? I see the samething in a traffic signal too.. when there is a countdown timer and red light is on.. people simply start giving horn when the timer comes to 10,9,8... this is the reason most of the signals are not using the timer nowdays I think... traffic woes is at its best in bangalore.. but pondicherry might soon break it! in pondicherry you gotta watch all the directions while driving... someone used to say if you can drive in chennai u can drive anywhere... later it changed to if you can drive in bangalore.. ucan drive anywhere in the world... soon it will get changed to if you can drive in pondicherry......

Am I the only one?

Hmm.. certainly not about the song by backstreet boys.
I often see people make the place from clean to dirty, dirty to dirtier and dirtier to dirtiest.. finally they avoid that place :) One such example is the beach in pondicherry.. in the morning you can see the people from municipality clean it and make it ready for the day.... as the time pass by people come, look for "cleaner" place and then spend their time ... sitting, chatting, eating.. and then leaving the food waste (disposable plates given for masala poori, peanuts... cups given for tea).. making it a dirty place.. the scene continues throughout the day .. only people who come their change.. but the attitude remains the same.. when they don't find a cleaner place.. you hear them say.... why municipality is maintaining the place so bad :-D and then they settle with a somewhat okish place (which is already dirty).... and then they repeat the same as other citizens.... I also hear people who have gone abroad saying.. singapore is the cleanest place and u know.. u can put rice.. right on the road and eat :-D. When they say all this.. do they realize those are the ones who have made it bad....
Even if its a small paper please please throw it in the dustbins, I should say municipality has done a great job.. by installing dustbins for every 5 feet ... and the best part is the kids (who are fast learners.. either bad or good) get the same habit passed on from the big fellas.... if you need a change, start it from you... and make a better place.. advice kids to throw the wastes in the dustbin... it won't hurt you or the kid by just walking 5 feet(to reach the thrashcan?)...
Am I the only one.. who has such a thought! Believe me when I post this, I do follow what I have said... and whenever I forget to throw the waste paper .. you can see it in my pocket :-D

Guruvayur visit!

Visited Guruvayur last saturday for a day. Waited for two hours to get darshanam of Guruvayurappan. It wasn't satisfactory but it will be same case even if they allow us for 5 mins ;-D so its ok.

Initially planned to go around places in Thrissur, but we couldn't do it, as we had to return on saturday itself.

I visited only the temple and the place where the temple elephants were made to stay.

Not good pics though.

Took a boat to go under the bridge when I visited SF on day before my last day in US.

Was able to cover the whole bridge at this shot, it was gloomy day otherwise it would have come even better I think.

hahaha

Never thought i could write some kadi jokes... these two are genuinely my kadi jokes... ;-D

ok.. lets get into them...

(JK is not anyone's name.. i am going to have it as Just Kidding ;-D as well as a character)

1.

Scene: JK gets into the house around 8pm making a big noise and then rushing in search of his shaving kit

Amma: hey how many times can i tell you not to shave after the lights (in india(atleast in tamilnadu) many people used to say not to shave after the lights are on in the evening after 6pm)

JK: what do you know mom, i have an interview and i have to be clean.

Amma: irundhaalum indhu konjam over da (really this is too much) after all you are going to take telephone interview ;-D

2.

Scene: JK comes fast into his wife's(she is software programmer) office to get the house keys (as he was going home earlier than his wife)

(on phone)

JK: hey i am waiting outside

Wife: konjam wait pannunga (wait yaar)

JK: what?? you don't know the story of Valluvar Vasugi??

Wife: Whats that?

JK: Once vasugi was taking water from the well and valluvar called her... she just left the water pot while taking it out of the well and it was just hanging (this is a story people tell for how much respect wife's they had for their husband, in tamil they call it as pathini(whats the equivalent in english??))

Wife: oh well, i can also come

She comes out leaving a running program in the middle and she got the program hanging ;-D

hope you got the joke... hahaha

Now a scary thought for you ...

More to come :-D

(hey kars this is for you machi... ;-D )

I had a transit for nearly 20hrs at Bangkok on my way back to India. Just went around some buddha temples and a ride on a private in the canal there. It was fun, but it look no different than india except for these buddha temples. Some pictures taken there are here.

Back in India!

I am back in india today. It was nice trip overall. I should sincerely thank my friends who made my stay a enjoyable one. Sivakumar was the one who took me to lot of places... without him.. i would have missed lot of places i think... karthik inspite of his busy schedules.. he too spent some weekends with me playing tennis, bowling... got a chance to meet some of my collegemates.. and overall its fruitful journey for business as well as personally :)

See you all after a break! Have some pictures to share, which i took in bangkok on my way to India. Will post them when i find time.
