Pondicherry pics

Took this longtime back. Thought of posting it. Pondicherry is a great place to settle down, no wonder why i say it, its my hometown :)

First is the Gandhi statue in the beach, Second is statue of french governor Dupleix who supported and he was killed by his own people for that, third one is a war memorial for the french soldiers.

Guruvayur visit!

Visited Guruvayur last saturday for a day. Waited for two hours to get darshanam of Guruvayurappan. It wasn't satisfactory but it will be same case even if they allow us for 5 mins ;-D so its ok.

Initially planned to go around places in Thrissur, but we couldn't do it, as we had to return on saturday itself.

I visited only the temple and the place where the temple elephants were made to stay.

Not good pics though.

Power of two??

I tried capturing lot of pics like this assuming I will make a series of pictures in the name of "Power of Two".. not sure.. how this has come... but i liked these pics... took them in a ghost town in death valley.

Actually Sun just started setting out, I couldn't wait there to capture that. But this is the best pic out of 3-4 pics I took there.

Golden Gate Bridge!

Took a boat to go under the bridge when I visited SF on day before my last day in US.

Was able to cover the whole bridge at this shot, it was gloomy day otherwise it would have come even better I think.

Nandhi Hills!

Took this one two weeks back, when i went to Nandhi Hills. What I like about this picture is those green patches seen clearly because of the sun rays coming amidst of clouds :).

Took this flower in Oberoi hotel when I went for team lunch here. Actually I did not like this photo much earlier. But it appears nice now :).

Couldn't find time here and the mood to post some in my blog :(. Somehow I am staying a little late today in office and decided to put some post :). Thanks for the regular visitors. I will try to post something everything.

Scene: JK gets into the house around 8pm making a big noise and then rushing in search of his shaving kit

Amma: hey how many times can i tell you not to shave after the lights (in india(atleast in tamilnadu) many people used to say not to shave after the lights are on in the evening after 6pm)

JK: what do you know mom, i have an interview and i have to be clean.

Amma: irundhaalum indhu konjam over da (really this is too much) after all you are going to take telephone interview ;-D


2.

Scene: JK comes fast into his wife's(she is software programmer) office to get the house keys (as he was going home earlier than his wife)

(on phone)

JK: hey i am waiting outside

Wife: konjam wait pannunga (wait yaar)

JK: what?? you don't know the story of Valluvar Vasugi??

Wife: Whats that?

JK: Once vasugi was taking water from the well and valluvar called her... she just left the water pot while taking it out of the well and it was just hanging (this is a story people tell for how much respect wife's they had for their husband, in tamil they call it as pathini(whats the equivalent in english??))

Wife: oh well, i can also come

She comes out leaving a running program in the middle and she got the program hanging ;-D

hope you got the joke... hahaha

Bangkok!

I had a transit for nearly 20hrs at Bangkok on my way back to India. Just went around some buddha temples and a ride on a private in the canal there. It was fun, but it look no different than india except for these buddha temples. Some pictures taken there are here.

Tajmahal!

This picture was taken last year during my visit to Agra. I feel this is a different angle to get the Taj Mahal covered and I like this photo.

Back in India!

I am back in india today. It was nice trip overall. I should sincerely thank my friends who made my stay a enjoyable one. Sivakumar was the one who took me to lot of places... without him.. i would have missed lot of places i think... karthik inspite of his busy schedules.. he too spent some weekends with me playing tennis, bowling... got a chance to meet some of my collegemates.. and overall its fruitful journey for business as well as personally :)

Zabrieske Point!

This picture was also taken during my weekend trip to death valley. This was taken from a view point called Zabrieske Point, just named after the founder. It appears like a sand dune.. but not sand really... can we call it hill dunes? But a truly amazing place to take pictures... apart from the heat... this visit gave me 285 photos ;-D though not all of them are perfect.... but undoubtedly a scenic place, must visit for photographers :) Kals??

Had been to death valley and mono lake during the weekend and made lot of good pictures to my collection. This is just one of them taken in mono lake... amazing place and i reached there for the sunset (after 6pm entry is also free ;-D ) and made some pictures. Will post them a little later.

This time I was with my lady luck (my wife :) and got this view point to get a full view of the Emerald Bay with the Fanette Island. Wait for my mail on my driving experience and some more photos :)

I have been to Mystery Spot on Saturday afternoon. It was one of the great mysterious place one would like to visit. It was truely amazing to see the things they demonstrate and the place as it is. I clicked some of usual/different flowers.
